Workshops

Having worked as a theater director, actor, writer, teacher, presentation skills and creativity coach, I’ve integrated thirty years of experience into my workshops for adults and children.

My workshops are tailored to cover a variety of topics, such as public speaking, personal and professional development, embodied awareness, the use of myths, dreams and drama as tools for personal development, acting, and creativity.

Accessing unconscious imagery is an important part of achieving lasting transformation and personal growth. Therefore, I use creative approaches in my workshops such as authentic movement and voice, art, masks, myth, ritual, dreams, and drama. We will also “dialogue” with your creative images as a way to explore issues such as taming big emotions, resolving difficult relationships, healing trauma, and making decisions about significant life changes.

I am an approved Continuing Education Unit Provider for MFTs, LPCCs, LSCWs, and/or LEPs. (A Place Within-Southern California, CAMFT Approved Provider #141393).  CE credits are available for many of my workshops.

Below please find a list of selected workshops and a brief description. (Workshops are designated as to whether they are for the general public, for professional development, or for both.)

The radiant, action-oriented energies of the Summer Solstice provides a powerful time in the Earth’s natural rhythms to explore ways to bring intention for change and growth into our own daily lives. Walking the Labyrinth’s circular path can be used as a symbolic tool for releasing ineffectual habits and attitudes, receiving wisdom from within, and opening to personal growth. Combining this ancient ritual with modern somatic and depth-psychological techniques balances the nervous system, opens one to images from the unconscious, and provides an effective environment for creating changes in attitude and behavior from a neurological and psychologically supported basis. In this workshop, participants will learn a brief history of the Labyrinth, the relationship between its sacred, symbolic structure and psychological healing, as well as its application for use today as a ritual tool to support change in one’s daily life. Psychodynamic therapeutic modalities such as somatic movement, art, journaling, and group processing will be modeled to demonstrate and support working with images from the unconscious to enhance and deepen the needs of the inner self. Soothing harmonics from crystal singing bowls and planetary gongs are designed to further engage the body’s natural healing, attunement, and self-calming abilities.

This workshop is offered at a level appropriate for beginners as well as seasoned healers, therapists, and individuals interested in depth psychology and personal growth.
